Mayor Walter Maddox has appointed Tera Tubbs as executive director of infrastructure and public services and Brendan Moore as executive director of urban development.

Both Tubbs and Moore will begin their new positions effective Monday, Feb. 15.

 

As executive director of urban development, Moore will oversee all urban planning, development services and economic development activities.

 

As executive director of infrastructure and public services, Tubbs will oversee all public service and infrastructure activities including engineering, transportation, water and sewer, environmental services and facilities maintenance.

 

Both will determine the respective overall departmental structures, as part of Maddox’s reorganization designed to simplify and integrate government, maximize resources and cut red tape. Read more here.

Mayor Maddox said,

Tera and Brendan are proven leaders for the City of Tuscaloosa. With their energy and expertise, they will help guide us in becoming the most innovative and effectively-managed city in the United States.

 

Moore has served as the director of economic development since 2013 and has been with the City since 2008.

 

Tubbs has served as director of the Department of Transportation since 2007.
