Forget the Rake, I’m Mowing the Leaves

Fall has arrived in West Alabama and my back yard is covered up in leaves, already.  Forget the rake, I'm breaking out the lawnmower for this job!

Hey, it makes sense doesn't it, mulch the leaves with a push mower?  Well, the grass needed a cut anyway, so why not. I get into it and realize, this slow pace of "mulching" is probably taking longer than if I just raked them.

I know we are into October now, so this kind of thing is expected.  It just feels like it happened so fast.  One day we have a heat index of 110 and the next leaves are falling.  Maybe the leaves on this tree are just ready to take it easy after such a HOT summer.

Here's to one of the final cuts of the season.  This just means... more time for FOOTBALL!  Oh yeah, Roll Tide!
