Why the DCH SportsMedicine Fund Run 5K Is Important for Area Athletics

We're proud to be a sponsor of the DCH SportsMedicine Fund Run 5K this Saturday morning at Tuscaloosa County High School.  You may not realize the importance of the fund when it comes to athletics in our schools.

Sheryl Hendrix and Mary T Long of DCH SportsMedicine dropped by the B101.7 studio to share details about the upcoming race and explained what it means. Did you realize the "fund" helps to provide protective and preventive athletic equipment to area athletes, including breakaway safety bases for baseball and softball fields; face sheilds for little league baseball batting helmets, automatic external defibrillators (AEDs); and supplies/equipment for area high school athletic training rooms.
