I hit the road this weekend, and while in the passenger seat I had a chance to go through a practically ancient CD binder. I was on a mission: I had to find one special CD, my favorite soundtrack of the 90's.

I found it--my second copy of the Original Motion Picture Sountrack to 1996's Romeo + Juliet. I say second copy because my OG CD was accidentally crushed in a Sony Discman accident. I was running and fell and.. you get the idea. I had to buy another copy of this soundtrack because I just couldn't live without it. It's amazing. Do y'all remember Baz Luhrmann's blockbuster adaptation of Romeo and Juliet?

If you're too young to remember, I pity you. You never got to fully appreciate the beauty that is Baby Leo. JUST LOOK AT HIM.

LORD. There's the face that launched a thousand copies of Tiger Beat onto countless locker doors. (BRB swooning)

The film itself is a spectacular whirlwind hot mess; it's Luhrmann's take on Shakespeare, and it is perfect. This is not up for debate. The film also stars Claire Daines, Jamie Kennedy, Brian Dennehy, Paul Sorvino, John Leguizamo, Harold Perrineau, and Pete Postlethwaite to name a few.

Oh, and Baby Paul Rudd.

Is it getting hot in here? Anyway, enough about the film itself. 90's Meg was obsessed with the soundtrack. How could anyone not buy this CD back in the day? It features tracks from Garbage, Everclear, Butthole Surfers, Radiohead, and the Cardigans--and those are just the highlights. Garbage's "#1Crush" was my JAM back in the day. And don't get me started on how much I love Radiohead...

Rare is the soundtrack that one can actually listen to again and again. Romeo + Juliet's soundtrack was more like a mixtape from a friend who was way cooler than you and was able to just order stuff from the Delia's catalog without her parents consent, someone who wore OG Urban Decay nail polish, someone who drove herself to the mall--REAL TOUGH CHICK STUFF.

I think that Romeo + Juliet is hands-down my favorite soundtrack from the 90's, but is it THE GREATEST soundtrack of the 1990's? There were so many awesome soundtracks. the 90's were def the Golden Age of Movie Soundtracks: The Bodyguard, Rushmore, Singles, The Crow...

I'm turning to y'all for help. Please list every awesome 90's soundtrack you can remember in the comments below. I'll gather all your responses, and I will put them in a poll later this week so we can decide once and for all which soundtrack is #1.
