What Stores and Restaurants Do You Think Tuscaloosa Needs?

The Groundbreaking Ceremony for Tuscaloosa's New 'Shoppes at Legacy' Park was held earlier this week. This new shopping center is bringing some great retailers to town, but there are plenty of businesses that would be a perfect fit for T-Town. What stores and restaurants would you like to see in Tuscaloosa?

The Shoppes at Legacy Park includes a Fresh Market (awesome), World Market (OMG), a DSW, Dick's Sporting Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Pet Smart. It's a solid start, and I am pleased to see so many new businesses calling Tuscaloosa home.

BUT... there are plenty of places I'd like in my town. A gal shouldn't have to drive to Birmingham or Atlanta to go shopping. Sure, I can shop anywhere online, but it's not the same as a brick and mortar store. ALSO MILO'S DOESN'T SHIP PIES. I asked.

Here's my list of places and spaces we need to shop and stuff our faces:

• Milo's (OBVIOUSLY. Come home, Milo's; we miss you.)
• Kohl's
• Whole Foods
• A FULL-SIZE SEPHORA (got to fuel my addiction, okay? But this new store can only be staffed by the girls who work at our Sephora in JCPenney because they are all amazing and just the best at everything.)
• Trader Joe's
• Steak and Shake
• A LUSH STORE (like, I have seriously considered starting a Kickstarter to get our franchise dues and then we can all be co-owners and be able to buy bath bombs whenever we want)
• Costco
• Nordtstrom Rack (aka bargain paradise)
• GAP (miss you, boo)
• Banana Republic
• Anthropologie
• Urban Outfitters
• Torrid
• Red Robin (yummmm)
• Romano's Macaroni Grill
• Benihana
• California Pizza Kitchen
• Asian Rim (they have one in the Colonnade in B'ham and one opening in Huntsville, so GET IT TOGETHER, GUYS. You belong with me.)
• Johnny Ray's
• Macy's
• Flip Burger
• L'Occitane
