Two Arrested For 1st Degree Burglary

On July 1st, 2015, Tuscaloosa police arrested 23-year old Brandon Ivory and 21-year old Nicholas Gibson, both of Tuscaloosa, with two counts of 1st Degree Burglary. They were placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending $120,000.00 bond each.

Police responded to a residence in the 1700 Block of E 17th Ave. on a burglary in progress call at 8:00 am. Officers spoke with two victims who were at home when they allege Ivory and Gibson kicked in the the back door, armed with a knife and assault rifle, and assaulted one victim. The suspects took money and two iPads then fled the scene in a 2003 Gray Toyota Corolla. They were later apprehended at the apartment complex where they live on 31st Street.

Both were taken into custody and the stolen items and weapons were recovered.
