Sheryl Hendrix and Casey Johnson of DCH SportsMedicine share information on the inaugural duathlon, Dirt Sweat & Gears happening this Saturday morning!

In talking about ditching the traditional Fund Run 5K, Sheryl Hendrix says, "We wanted to create new excitement!" There will be a 10-mile trail bike ride and a 5K (3.1 mile) run at beautiful Lake Lurleen State Park.

Now, if you want to do one and not the other part of this duathlon, you can buddy up with someone. Like myself, I'd to run the 5K and have been teamed up someone who just wants to do the bike ride. Perfect. A new team is formed.

It's up to you which way you approach it. Either way, your paid entry fee will support the fun which provides medical assistance to local school athletics!
