The National Weather Service Birmingham has released timing maps for the potential of freezing rain or sleet with travel impacts in the area.

At this time, the forecast map below illustrates the most significant icing impacts my be limited to the far northwest corner of Alabama.

While we are talking about weather, February came in as the 6th coldest in the area with an average temperature of 39.4 degrees. Also, an updated map of snow totals from the February 25th storm has been released. Look at the huge difference in accumulation.
