Join me on a walk around University of Alabama's Moundville Archaeological Park for the 2015 Moundville Native American Festival! It's history come to life in West Alabama!

This annual October event draws crowds from all over the South to experience this a showcase of rich culture and heritage. It really does demonstrate what makes Southeastern Indians unique at the award winning festival.

Walking the grounds at the park, you will find living historians ready to share stories. See Native American arts and crafts arbors. Let the kids make necklaces and have their face painted. Visit the arts market, and trader's circle. Don't miss a unique stage performance. Oh, grab an Indian taco in the food court. It's all in a day at the Moundville Native American Festival.

The event organizers do a fantastic job making this history lesson interesting for children, and well, for kids at heart too!
