See What Katy Perry’s Left Shark Is up to This ‘Shark Week’

Here to make a triumphant return to celebrate #SharkWeek, it's the one and only LEFT SHARK! Yes, the terribly awkward overnight sensation from the Super Bowl's halftime show is back to make a splash... in your pocket!

Katy Perry Tweeted an update to announce the release of the Left Shark phone cover. As she points out in a hashtag, "doesn't bite protector of phones." I especially like the animated motion used in the Tweet to make the shark dance. Nice touch. The phone cover is available at Claire Stores.

I'm thinking, wouldn't it be the best thing ever to see Left Shark make some kind of cameo appearance in the upcoming Sharknado movie, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No? I looked around to see if there are any hints to this happening. A US Weekly article doesn't think so. Saying, "was Left Shark's day rate too high?" It would be funny, and it would fit the ridiculous nature of the series. We'll find out on July 22nd, as it premieres on SyFy.
