I didn't plan on writing about the night, but these priceless moments really need to be shared. Yeah, moments at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater the other night.

Boston played the amp and before the first song even started, applause was needed for a vintage shirt seeing daylight. You've probably seen it plenty of times, fans wearing previous tour shirts to concerts. Well, those shirts may be a few years old. Try wearing a shirt from a 1978 tour! What's most impressive is the pristine condition, it looked brand new. There was not one hole or stain to be seen. Hey, if I have a shirt from 2008, and it's in good shape, I'm quick to pat myself on the back. This 1978 tour shirt guy must keep this piece of history in a secret vault, stashed far, far away. A special night for the special shirt. Rock on my friend.

Here's a snapshot from the back of the shirt, showing the Boston tour year of 1978.

You know bands love to energize the crowd of any given city they visit. Typically, that means a city name shout-out. Something like, "what's up Tuscaloosa?!" But, when a band plays Tuscaloosa, a "Roll Tide" is likely to come up at some point. Not only did Boston give Tuscaloosa and "Roll Tide" shout-outs, they weaved the love throughout the show. Boston took it a step further with different band members wearing Alabama swag, and even showcasing a giant "A" on their backdrop screen. Nice!

See a photo of the Boston love for Tuscaloosa and the Alabama Crimson Tide!

The concert is rolling along, my group of friend were having a great time, then the "shoosh." I was absolutely shocked, did that just happen? So outrageous, that it was funny. The lady in front of us turned around deep into the show and proceeded to stick both arms out, with one finger pointed up. Then, slowly the pair of finger came together at her lips followed with a "shoosh." That was awesome, we were told quiet down... at a concert! We were just talking, not yelling or making a scene. I could see our conversation could get a "shoosh" at a movie, a speech or a library. At a concert? Priceless. I will cut this lady some slack, the music wasn't really that loud from our side stage seats.

One more photo from the night, I like the way this one came out. It's Boston and their giant "I want to hit that gong" gong in the background at Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.
