A brand new music festival in Alabama has just announced their inaugural lineup! It's the Sloss Music and Arts Festival in Birmingham, and 25 acts have been confirmed to play the 2-day event in July.

Modest Mouse, Band Of Horses, Primus, and local soul band St. Paul & the Broken Bones are among the headliners scheduled. Also in the lineup are Cage the Elephant, Sturgill Simpson, Young the Giant, First Aig Kit, Purity Ring, Lord Huron, Tyler, the Creator and others. The word is that another headlining act will be announced in the coming weeks, along with even few more performers.

The event is happening July 18th and 19th at the Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark. Friday morning (March 27th) at 10 a.m. various two-day ticket packages will go on sale through Ticketmaster.com and Slossfest.com. Prices range from $105 for 2-day general admission to $325 for 2-day VIP passes, which includes access to air conditioned lounges.
