Stopping by the B101.7 studio is current Miss Metropolitan Cassidy Jo Jacks! The Kidd's Kids supporter shares details on how we can all 'Stamp Out Hunger' on May 9th.

I first met Cassidy Jo after winning the Miss Tuscaloosa title, and asked if she would like to help us out on Kidd's Kids Day. The annual fundraiser with our Kidd Kraddick Morning Show to send terminally and chronically ill children and their families to Walt Disney World. I thought, hey, any way I can help draw attention to the cause the better! This University of Alabama student (ROLL TIDE) not only helped, but she was a champ for her excitement supporting this cause.

About a year and a half has passed since then, it was nice to catch up. Along the way learning she is representing Birmingham currently with her Miss Metropolitan crown. Nice. It's also awesome to hear she continues to be dedicated to community service fighting hunger! Coming up on May 9th is 'Stamp Out Hunger.' This is the annual food drive with our letter carries, the men and women of the U.S. Post Office. We can all get involved by leaving can goods in a bag near or in our mailbox next Saturday (5/9). Together we can make a big difference right here in our community, as the drive supports the West Alabama Food Bank.

The Miss Alabama pageant is not that far away, with the competition in June. Cassidy Jo will be there and we wish her the best of luck!
