Justin Timberlake has announced that his new single 'Can't Stop The Feeling' will be dropping this Friday (May 6.) Timberlake tweeted the news to his 54 million Twitter followers; and the song will be his first release in three years.

"CantStopTheFeeling 2 more days (sic)" he tweeted succinctly.

The 35-year-old singer has managed to keep whatever he's working on under the radar. There is no information about the upcoming track or whether or not it's a teaser for a new album. But the song has been getting distributed to radio stations ahead of its Friday release.

"I just heard the new @jtimberlake song!!! OMG! SMASH!!! (sic)" tweeted KISS FM's "On Air With Ryan Seacrest."

Despite his infrequent releases, Timberlake has kept busy over the past three years, becoming a dad, teaming up with Jimmy Fallon for an interminable series of "History of Rap" performances on "The Tonight Show," and working on the posthumous Michael Jackson album Xscape back in 2014. But his return to music full-time usually means something interesting--and he needs to be sure that he's coming with something hot.

New Timberlake music is dropping in a year that's been full of high-profile releases from Kanye West, Rihanna, Beyonce and Drake. Justin has been spending time in the studio with long-time collaborators Timbaland and Pharrell Williams, so fans are understandably excited to see what he's got waiting.

Is it Timberlake season?
