Family Counseling Service will host "Death By Chocolate" on Thursday, April 21, 2016, and yes, this event is 100% as awesome as it sounds.  You'll be able to sample chocolate dishes prepared by some of the best restaurants, bakeries, and caterers in Tuscaloosa and West Alabama. Here's more about the event from the Family Counseling Service website:

Tuscaloosa's Death By Chocolate Tournament is the annual fundraising event of the season! Each year, restaurants, catering companies, and other businesses in the Tuscaloosa area compete by bringing their best chocolates in hopes of being recognized as having Tuscaloosa's Best Chocolate! It is a delicious event and helps raise funds for the Family Counseling Service. You do not want to miss all this chocolate bliss!

"Death By Chocolate" is presented by Publix Supermarkets Charities and will be held Thursday, April 21, at the Tuscaloosa River Market. Athena's Bakery and Boutique, Evangeline's, Steel City Pops, Northriver, A Cutting Edge Caterer, Southern Ale House, and Zoe's Kitchen are just a few of the places that will be serving up decadent chocolate dishes at the event.

Advance tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased online HERE through Thursday, April 14. After April 14, tickets will no longer be available online and must be purchased at the door for $30 per ticket. Check out the "Death by Chocolate" Facebook event page HERE for more info.
