Comedian Dave Chappelle is Coming to Alabama in April

The actor and comedian who had a tremendously successful run on Comedy Central before unexpectedly walking away from a huge contract will be coming to Birmingham for two shows in April. 

Dave Chappelle, best known for Chappelle's Show and Half Baked, will perform at the Alabama Theatre, coincidentally, on April 20. His schedule includes a 7PM and a 9:30PM set on the iconic stage in downtown Birmingham.

The comedian became widely-known during his 3+ years with Comedy Central produing the sketch comedy hit Chappelle's Show. When the two parties couldn't agree on the direction of the show, Chappelle walked away from a $50 million contract in the middle of season three.
