Post Office Pies opened their Birmingham store in the thriving Avondale community in early 2014 and will now bring their wood fired brick oven pizzas to T-Town.

The Tuscaloosa location of will be located behind Innisfree Irish Pub on 6th Street and could be open as early as September.

The original pizzeria was a collaboration between Saw’s Soul Kitchen owners Mike Wilson and Brandon Cain and expert chef John Hall. The Post Office Pies (POP) menu features, of course, a selection or hand-tossed pizzas from the traditional cheese and pepperoni to a Chicken Pesto and the popular "Swine Pie" which features pepperoni, hand-made pork sausage and bacon! They also have "build your own pie" options as well as a variety of salads.

In an interview with AL.com's Bob Carlton, POP co-owner Mike Wilson discussed moving their business to Tuscaloosa by saying,

We've already got a good following there. People in Tuscaloosa who are from Birmingham already know about us, so it's a good stepping stone for us.

If you can't wait until September to try one of the mouth-watering creations that POP has to offer, head to the original location at 209 41st St. South, Birmingham, AL 35222.
