Bayfest 2014: Who's Playing + How to Win Tickets

Alabama's largest music festival is coming up October 3rd through 5th, in Mobile. It's Bayfest! Listen and win weekend passes from B101.7 to this huge festival.

Now, you're probably wondering, who will be there. There's going to be a variety of music styles form country to R&B and rap to rock. Kid Rock, to me, is THE biggest name scheduled. You know it's going to be party when he hits the stage to belt out songs like 'Cowboy' and the phone lighters will be waving when 'Only God Knows Why' comes up in the set.

The major names don't stop there. The pride of our state, Alabama, is also scheduled to perform. Crimson Tide fans will make their presence known when 'Dixieland Delight' comes up. The fan favorite heard at each home game at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Here comes another major name in another genre of music- Earth, Wind and Fire. Yeah, lookout for this old skool party with hits like 'September,' and 'Let's Groove.'

A couple of alternative rock legends on the schedule really caught my interest and curiosity to check 'em out live, with Jane's Addiction and Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington. Jane's Addiction are best know for 'Jane Says,' and 'Been Caught Stealing.' Stone Temple Pilots owned the radio back in the 90s with 'Plush.' These shows will rock! Even deeper nostalgia can be found with Joan Jett, known for the anthem, 'I Love Rock and Roll.' Plus, new comers Foster The People and Magic! A few years back, Foster The People had success on the radio with 'Pumped Up Kicks.' As quickly as that song, about a troubled kid's homicidal thoughts, rose up the charts in 2011, it fell off the radio in wake of new school shootings. As for Magic! they gave us the summer of 2014 breakout hit, 'Rude.'

Brantley Gilbert who has played Tuscaloosa, will make his way to the coast. Also, hip-hop legend Ludcacris will bring it the first weekend of October too.
