Apples for Education returns Tuesday, July 5th through Saturday, July 9th! It's a friendly competition between Northport and Tuscaloosa to sell apples supporting local school kids.

Last year nearly $3,000 was raised for the Tuscaloosa Backpack Coalition to get the supplies needed for a successful year!

A razor thin edge in 2015 went to Chick-fil-A Tuscaloosa South raising $1,500 to CFA Northport's $1,425.

From what I've been told, both teams are fired up and ready to compete again for the bragging rights! They need your help.

Who is it going to be county or city, Northport or Tuscaloosa? Go to your Chick-fil-A any day between Tuesday, July 5th and Saturday, July 9th and let them you know you want to buy apples at $1 each! You'll get to write your name on it and they'll hang it up for everyone to see!

All money raised will once again stay local and support the Tuscaloosa Backpack Coalition! Their mission is to help provide backpacks and supplies to the most needy children in Tuscaloosa City and County Schools.

Be sure to listen, as we share updates and check back with us online for the latest.
