Alabama State Nurses Association Continuing Education Conference Coming to NorthRiver Yacht Club

The ASNA or Alabama State Nurses Association plan to offer a one-day Continuing Education conference at the NorthRiver Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa on Thursday, May 12th.

A day of fun, food and learning is promised for this event with vendors and guest speakers.  Registration will be at 8:00 a.m., followed a full schedule from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Here's what's on the schedule:

• 1st Session 8:30-9:15, Constance Hendricks PhD, FAAN, RN, Keynote Speaker (Nurses Week Celebration)
• 2nd Session 9:15-10:00, Jennifer Harris Sherman, JD (Sickle Cell Disease Update)
• Break 10-10:15
• 3rd Session 10:15-11:00, Christy Copeland, MSN, RN (Living with Type I Diabetes, A Day in Their Life)
• Lunch/vendors 11:00-12:30
• 4th Session 12:30-1:15, Gerald Ramsey, RN (DKA Management)
• Closing 1:15-1:30
