Attention Black Friday shoppers, let the fighting begin at the door busters table on aisle 1! Sounds crazy doesn't it? But, it may not be that much of a stretch for us in Alabama, well that's what new study says.

Estately has compiled a ranking of the Top 10 most violent on Black Friday using 2 factors:

  • States most likely to shop on Black Friday as expressed on Facebook
  • Frequency of aggravated assaults from crime reports

There is no question Black Friday is HUGE in Alabama.  The study ranks us 5th in the nation for our love for the occasion.  Also, factor in an 11th ranking for aggravated assaults.  This leads the study to give us a 3rd ranking for the likelihood of getting in a brawl over that laptop, TV, toy, whatever!

Here's how the Top 10 ranks:

  1. Arkansas
  2. Tennessee
  3. Alabama
  4. Louisiana
  5. Missouri
  6. West Virginia
  7. Oklahoma
  8. Indiana
  9. Kansas
  10. South Carolina

New Jersey ranks 48th.  That surprises me, maybe I've watched too many episodes of The Sopranos and The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Hawaii ranks 49th.  Well sure they do, with weather that nice, who wouldn't rather be at the beach instead of fighting over an iPad.

Massachusetts ranks 50th.

One thing is for sure, as stores spread out the times for their "deals," the chances of massive mobs getting into fights goes down greatly.

What do you think of all this?  Are you Black Friday shopper who has seen things get ugly? Maybe, you just avoid the door busters all together, tell us about it. Leave your comment below.
